For lovers of nature, there is within walking distance the Helderberg Nature Reserve where you discover and enjoy the local fauna and flora.
 
A little farther away you may visit the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve and the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens (fynbos) in Betty’s Bay.
Cape Town offers the Company Garden and the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.
And there is of course the Cape Peninsula which is known for its extensive flora and the bird sanctuary in Hout Bay.
